Have you seen the new TV commercials? The ones with the dancers as smoothy pouring into a cup? Amazingly creative!!!
Random thoughts of a guy with not much else to do.

Seems to me that if the only way Burger King, McDonalds and Jack in the Box can get people to be return customers is by promoting movie-tie-in contests with huge money prizes or vacation packages, their food must not be good enough to attract that return business. But, we already knew that, right?
I recently bought a little bag of something that sounded like it might be tasty. Parmesan flavored Pita chips. Now, I remember why I don’t buy Pita bread for anything. Pita pocket bread is a one-trick pony. It only serves one purpose on this planet. It is designed to safely convey a mixture of yogurt, cucumbers and roasted lamb meat… from a paper plate to your face and into your mouth without the whole mess running down your elbow and into your lap. Otherwise it is just edible cardboard. I am dressing these things up with spicy guacamole which pretty much disguises any flavor the Pita bread may accidently have.

The guy that leaves his presentation in the cab: Why doesn’t he just call the cab company and have them send the cab back to where he is standing….. it won’t be more than a couple blocks away. Knowing how long it can take to actually print out a thick book sized pile of pages…. it would be quicker to get the cab to bring it back. Not to mention the tree-hugger aspect of reprinting a book that size.
I don’t like Commander Sulu doing Sharp TV Commercials!!!
Cyber Friends are da BES’. No Ka Oi!!! I had to do a fund raiser online for my companion dog Buddee the BBQ Dawg, to get him a two-wheel cart/wheelchair/bicycle, because he has Degenerative Myelopathy, which affects the nerves of his back legs, (initially). The Fund Raiser was a smashing success. In just under 72 hours friends, some of whom I have never met face-to-face, bought and paid for the cart!!! The cart is custom-made to the dogs “dress size”, individually by www.eddieswheels.com. It will take about 2 weeks. But it is ordered and underway. My unending gratitude goes out to those folks that may have petted Buddee at some time, … but also to those friends who have never laid eyes on him, but who all came together to help me care for my long-time companion. Dog lovers all, with generous hearts who stopped what they were doing to come to his aid. I will NEVER forget this heart-full experience!! Mahalo a nui loa! to all who helped, and also to those who couldn’t help financially in this poor economy, but supported me emotionally during this scary time! I will never forget you guys!!
I haven’t gotten today’s mail, but we ARE approaching the goal of $600 for Buddee’s Cart, for which I will always be in your debt, and grateful as hell that so many people, (some of whom I have rubbed the wrong way from time-to-time), came to my aid and the comfort and longevity of my dog. I will be forever grateful, and will try to bite my typing fingers and try not to be so abrasive in future. You have all restored my faith in the good nature and generosity of the human animal!! Thank you all so much for your continuing support. I can’t express how this makes me feel. (I probably could, but I would be admitting waaay too much. [GRIN]). Suffice it to say that like the old guy in UP, I will “attempt” to mend my ways and not be so much of a curmudgeon on some subjects. THANK YOU! We are almost there.
I don’t yet have an up-to-date total, BUT, 8 generous people, one in Australia, have increased the PayPal account to approx. $268.00 as of Noon CDT Wednesday 3/17/10. Happy St. Paddy’s day. And Thank YOU very very much, on behalf of Buddee. His condition progresses a little more each week and I am just hoping I can reach the $600 goal in the next few weeks and get the cart/wheelchair ordered for him. His rear leg coordination causes his hindquarters to completely collapse if he forgets and turns around too fast, or tries to climb a little slope that is too steep for him: he ends up sitting down suddenly and unexpectedly, or he stumbles. There are some checks coming in via snail mail and I will add that total to the PayPal total and bring you up-to-date. I WILL provide photo’s when the cart arrives and I get Buddee familiarized with it. Again: THANK YOU and Mahalo a nui loa, to all of you for your generosity. Bill
Thanks to many of you for your kind thoughts and for helping me do this for Buddee. Currently, the Paypal fund is up to $150, and there is about $175 or so coming via snail mail. The Goal is $600 more or less. Hopefully Eddie’s Wheels will have a used one available that will fit Buddee or can be easily modified to his “dress size”. Thank you for your continued support. When we take delivery of this cart, and get Buddee into it and kind of settled down to the idea, I’ll send photos. This may be interesting and entertaining to get him into this. He always goes nuts over bicycles, motorcycles, et al. He only got over his phobia about wheelchairs this past year since being around my Mom.
